Greg and I had a relaxing evening at home to ring in the new year. We had our traditional New Year's Eve Egg Rolls, along with some homemade shrimp fried rice and egg drop soup. Not your typical holiday fare, but somehow it has become a yummy Cox Family tradition, started by Greg's parents.
We also had an amazing firework show, right in our backyard! We have had neighbors in the past set off fireworks for New Years. But this was just crazy. We had fireworks on all sides of us, and not just little ones either. They were good ones! Our neighbors must have spent a nice chunk of change on their displays. It was funny how each of our 3 dogs reacted though. Molly absolutely loved them. She sat out in the backyard with us and was looking up at the sky and watching them. But the poor corgis - they hated it! Abby was hiding upstairs. I went up to check on her once, and found her curled up on the mat in front of the toilet. On the tile in front of the tub was a puddle of pee. She looked so pitiful. Charlie was even scared to go outside this morning!
With baby coming this year, I am sure we will have an amazing 2011!
