Babymoon

I never really understood the term "babymoon."  I understand honeymoon, because that is after you get married.  But with a babymoon, the baby isn't here yet.  So, maybe it should really be called a "pre-babymoon"?

Either way, Greg and I recently enjoyed our last trip by ourselves, before baby gets here.  Generally, we love to travel a lot, so it will be interesting to see how that changes over the next year!  We stayed at Henderson Park Inn in Destin, Florida.  If you are ever looking for a romantic and relaxing getaway - we highly recommend this place!  Because it is right next to a state park, you feel like you have miles of private beach, just for you, even in this resort town.  The Inn also has a no-kids allowed policy, so we thought it was perfect for our last pre-kid trip.

It was pretty chilly in Florida at the time we were there, but that didn't stop us from sitting on the beach.  When it got too cold/windy, we retreated to either the deck or to our room with the doors open.  The sound of the ocean was so relaxing!  We did a lot of lounging, relaxing, and reading.  I was excited that I actually finished a book over this trip too!  It seems that lately with the craziness of the pregnancy, moving, and the upcoming holidays, we were really run-down before.  This was a much needed time to recharge our batteries.

Don't let this guy fool you!
The seagulls came in flocks and became demanding when it came time for us to eat our lunch on the beach!

Lots of pelicans around too

Peaceful reading

Tiki Bar where we enjoyed Happy Hour.
Too bad I couldn't partake in the yummy free drinks.  I did get some warm hot cocoa instead.
