Today, I had an MRI done of baby to evaluate the type of tissue that is in the nasal mass. I guess MRI is better at assessing the soft tissue than ultrasound is. The good news - the mass does not communicate with the brain! The doctors are now thinking the mass is a nasal glioma, which is pretty rare. But, hopefully treatment won't be too bad. Likely baby will have some plastic surgery after birth to remove the mass. But that should be it. We did get some pretty cool MRI images of baby - much more detailed than we could ever get from an ultrasound.
