24 weeks

This past week and a half have been quite a whirlwind!  Packing, moving, unpacking.  Dealing with incompetent  movers that almost threw out a laptop and lost some of the parts to our bed and the baby's crib.  Trying to get all the utilities cancelled at the old place and set up at the new place.  Plus lots of other random stuff that goes along with moving.  Boy, am I sure glad we are doing this now while I am still feeling good and not any later in the pregnancy!

Today we had our first appointment with the new doctors here in Texas.  Due to the extra care baby will need after birth, we decided to see the doctors at Texas Children's Hospital for the rest of the pregnancy.  We had an extensive ultrasound again today as a part of our initial evaluation.  Greg and I love the doctors here already!  They were very prompt with the appointment times (even took us early), and took lots of time to make sure they got all the images they needed and to answer our questions.  Baby wasn't cooperating at one point by hiding his/her face, so they had us go walk around and have lunch, then come back to get better images.  Luckily the doctors here agree with the doctors from Louisiana, and they believe the mass is likely a nasal glioma.  Since this is such a rare condition, our case gets to be discussed at their weekly multidisciplinary team meetings.  We will likely get close monitoring from here on out with more ultrasounds and testing, but I am completely fine with that.  I would rather have more information and the best care for our little one!

Here is a 3D profile shot.  Baby was being a little stinker by hiding his/her face with an arm and hand.
