12 weeks

Had my 12 week doctor appointment today. I am still feeling great and haven't had any problems. They took some blood, asked some questions and answered questions I had - pretty routine stuff. They also listened for the heartbeat with the fetal doppler. At first the nurse tried to find it, but couldn't. I wasn't too worried though, because I have been finding the heartbeat since around 10 1/2 weeks with my own home doppler that I bought. And I heard it last night right before going to bed. The nurse then said the doctor would try, and if he couldn't find it then we would get another ultrasound. Secretly I was wishing the doctor wouldn't find it either so we could get another peek. But, the doctor found the heartbeat right away. It's a good thing the doc found the heartbeat, but I was bummed I wouldn't get another look at baby. Next ultrasound won't be till 20 weeks and that just seems so far away!

Since I didn't get any baby pics today, I'll leave you with a picture of Charlie. He was snoozing outside this afternoon, half in the sun, half in the shade.
