Wednesday Night BBQ

Last night we had another one of our weekly Wednesday night BBQs - and I think we had the biggest turnout ever - 17 people!

We even had to put out a "kiddie table" in the office to squeeze in enough seating.

A little background: shortly after we moved to Baton Rouge, we started having some of Greg's co-workers over for dinner every once in a while. After a couple weeks it developed into a weekly ritual. Every Wednesday night after work we would have dinner at our place. Very informal - sort of a BYO meat and then we would grill it. Generally it was potluck on sides/dessert/beer. Lots of beer. Sometimes I wished I had a separate beer fridge! It is a good way to break up the work week and relax with good friends. There was a core group that started the tradition. But as other people would travel into Baton Rouge on business they might stop by that week, our house was always open to anyone! We would often celebrate birthdays, bachelors, holidays, project milestones, and generally have a good time.

Becky's grandma visited her from Chicago for a few weeks and we even got to celebrate her 80th birthday at a Wednesday night BBQ!

Our dogs always had a blast on Wednesdays when Becky brought her dog over to play as well!
