A few weeks have gone by, and I still have a hard time believing that we will actually be having a baby. Today I finally got pictures to prove it! We had our first ultrasound and glimpse of the baby.
The baby is on the right between the 2 arrows, and the outlined circle just to the left is the yolk sac.
We even got to see the heart beating - 120 beats per minute. Just a little flicker on the screen. Though we couldn't hear it, it was pretty amazing to see the tiny little heart beating away. The baby was measuring 6 weeks, 1 day - so about 6 days behind. Not much to be concerned about since at this point, having the arrows off by a millimeter makes a big difference in measurement. But that does mean we get to go back in 2 weeks for another glimpse!
