Molly, Abby and Charlie

You had to know it was coming, a whole post dedicated to my 4-legged kiddos! I just have to share a few pics (well, okay - more than a few, sorry!).  I remember the day that Greg and I said we would never have more than 2 dogs at a time, we didn't want to be one of "those dog people."  But now here we are with 3 of them.  The trio have such personality and are just so comical together.  They bring us tons of joy and plenty of laughs.

Charlie

Abby

Molly - here you can see she is protecting a couple of balls - one is even in her food dish!  This particular evening we were playing fetch and Molly all of a sudden decided she was hungry.  But she didn't want to miss out on all the fun.  So she held the balls hostage until she was done eating then joined back in the game - goofy dog!

Handsome Charlie

Who me?  I didn't destroy the toy - I am innocent!

Sweet Molly

Houston had some wonderful dog parks complete with agility equipment and doggie swimming pools. Molly absolutely loves to fetch balls out of the water, though she is the slowest swimmer I have ever seen! In April 2008 Charlie finally took the plunge and started swimming too. It was hilarious to watch him learn. The dog pools are all sloped along the edges, so Abby and Charlie would get in only far enough so they still had their feet grounded. Then all of a sudden Charlie's fluffy butt started floating away! He didn't have good control at first, but has gotten much better over time. Abby learned in late June/early July and is much better now, but I still think she prefers watching from the edge!

Another famous trick of Molly's is best described in this video.  Have a look for yourself...  You will probably understand why it is always bath time as soon as we get home from the park!

Of course talking about our dogs would never be complete without mentioning our first "child" Oliver.  He was the sweetest and most loving dog, we will never forget him!

He loved long walks in the woods
