I know, I know, I have been bad and not kept up with my posting. Hopefully I will become a regular blogger again. So to continue where I last left off...
Since Dani's wedding was in NYC, we were able to take advantage of the weekend and spend some time doing a little sightseeing and hanging out with our friends we don't get to see too often.
Kelly and Shawn in a requisite Times Square photo
Greg and I in Grand Central Terminal, our hotel was right next to it - great location!
Rockefeller Center
St. Patrick's Cathedral
NBC Studios
We got to take a studio tour, but they didn't allow pictures on the tour. It was pretty neat though, we got to see the sets for Saturday Night Live, Conan O'Brien, NBC News with Brian Williams and I think a few others. I remember being amazed at how tiny the each studio really is compared to how I would imagine it from watching the shows.
Jeremy, Greg and Shawn showing off =)
We were able to get last minute half-price tickets to see Spamalot
Kelly and Shawn in front of New York's narrowest home, only 9.5 feet wide! It is located in Greenwich Village
I think this was in FAO Schwartz
One morning walking around we saw a film crew set up on one of the street corners. It looked like they were filming some sort of chase scene. You can tell the black NYPD car looks a little beat up. We watched them film a few takes. It was crazy how long it took them to prep each take. There were people out there with brooms sweeping the street to make everything perfect. I am sure it would only be a 1-2 second spot in whatever chase scene in the film. We asked them what it was for, they said "The Taking of Pelham 123" which just came out this summer. I haven't seen it yet, but want to!
